In 2012 Alyssa McGarry traveled to Panajachel, Guatemala and fell in love with the people, the culture, and the products created by the local artisans in the ancient tradition. Recognizing the obstacles keeping these products from markets large enough to sustain the craft she created Hiptipico. Their mission is to connect the artisans with customers to preserve Mayan culture and traditions.
