It went viral. Within days she was being interviewed by Good Morning America and dozens of news outlets. One night while she was up with her infant son she came across an article about the viral photo and read down through the comments. A few trolls were working themselves up into a nasty fervor and she wondered, how do we go from innocent children to this?
That’s where the idea for The Doll Kind, a doll that encouraged compassion and love came from.
How it works:
First choose a doll: Each doll is named after virtues: Fairness, Hope, Grace, and Joy. They are available in a variety of skin tones and both genders. They huggable soft and have a handmade look.
Next give out the tokens: Each doll comes with a “kindness kit”. Each kit includes 10 tokens with special phrases on them to show gratitude, love, and kindness. These tokens are meant for children to give out as acts of kindness. Also in the kit is a list of acts of kindness to inspire your child to get started sharing and giving their tokens. The doll has a secret pocket on the back to store a token.
Finally a doll is donated: For each doll purchased, a doll will be donated by The Doll Kind to a child less fortunate. Donation sites include orphanages, hospitals, shelters, and more throughout the United States and countries across the world.
Every child is born with the desire to be kind and helpful to others, this toys is a wonderful outlet for that.
Kindness and giving promotes optimism, and builds confidence It also gives us a sense of hope. We feel empowered when we make a positive difference in the life of another. When we practice that at an early age it becomes a core way we interact with the world.
