Women
Poverty

After the Rwandan genocide in 1995 the country was left 70% female. Women were left to pick up the pieces of their shattered country. Artisans who were skilled in cultural traditions united to create jewelry, home goods, accessories and clothing. These co-ops were turning out beautiful handmade products but had no way to get them to global market. That’s where Indego Africa steps in.

indegoafric.org is an e-commerce site where you can buy beautiful, traditional goods that provide a woman in Rwanda with an income to support her family and an education and training to reach her full potential and financial independence.
