To showcase theses goods, Noonday empowers women to become stylists, storytellers and social entrepreneurs called Ambassadors. Over 1,700 women have launched their own Ambassador businesses. By selling jewelry and accessories at Trunk Shows, these Ambassadors are styling their friends and changing the world!

The first Noonday Trunk Show was a fundraiser for Founder Jessica Honegger’s adoption from Rwanda. Five years later, Noonday continues to give 10% of sales at Adoption Trunk Shows to help adoptive families bring their children home.

When Jessica Honegger traveled to Kenya as a teenager she was moved by the level of poverty she saw. That’s when she decided to use the opportunities she’d been given to create meaningful opportunities for other people. Thus starting Noonday Collection.

Noonday collaborates with 29 Artisan Businesses in 12 countries to design a collection of handcrafted jewelry and accessories. They develop these Artisan Businesses through fair trade, connecting them to a global market and empowering them to grow sustainably.

We’ve featured our favorites on Good Business, but the Noonday Collection shop section has dozens of beautiful pieces of jewelry and accessories. A lot of the pieces are made out of unique materials like up cycled bullet casing and ethically sourced water buffalo horn.

As the second part of Noonday’s business model they invite women in the United States to host trunk parties, where they showcase the unique and beautiful goods. Each piece has a story and the “Ambassadors” are the story tellers. I love the connection this creates between women entrepreneurs across the world.

Noonday believes that each child deserves to be loved and cherished by a family. That’s why they donate 10% of sales at Adoption Trunk Shows to families who are in the process of adopting a child.
